This juicy, tasty and simple to make Asian Grilled Pork Tenderloin is perfect to get the BBQ season started!

I just love to cook this Asian grilled pork tenderloin. Pork tenderloin has the advantage of being pork while being a lean cut of meat. As it doesn’t have a lot of fat, the key to enhancing the cut is to let it marinate to imbue flavor and help keeping it juicy during the cooking process.

Paired with grilled potatoes and greens, you’re in for a healthy and flavorful treat.

What do you need to cook this Asian grilled pork tenderloin?

Pork tenderloin: The pork tenderloin, also called pork fillet or Gentleman’s Cut, is a long thin cut of pork. It’s the leanest cut of pork you can find. Combining healthy cut with pork is really a match in heaven!

Marinade ingredients: For this Asian marinade, you’ll be combining salty, sour and spicy. Use a mix of soy sauce, sunflower oil or a similar neutral oil, lime juice and zest, garlic and chili flakes.

How to grill your pork tenderloin to perfection?

The key question everyone asks is: How long does it take to grill pork tenderloin?

On the BBQ, pork tenderloins which are around one or one and a half pound should get a dual treatment. You’ll want to sear the pork tenderloin for 2 minutes on each side to get your grill marks and lock in the juices. Then, you will cook it over indirect medium heat for around 20 minutes. During the cook time, turn over the meat occasionally and use your marinade to baste the meat. You are looking for an internal temperature of 145 degrees.

Once your meat is ready, let it rest under a loose aluminum foil tent to let the juices distribute evenly. I usually work on my sauce or sides during that time.

What goes well with this recipe?

There are so many things you can pair up with grilled pork tenderloin. In order to stay with the Asian theme, here are a couple of sides which pair up perfectly to have a super flavorful and healthy meal.

These fingerling potatoes go great with the pork. They have a great umami taste with the miso and soy. The red onions absorbed all of the marinade flavor and are to die for!

Sesame Broccoli

Whether home made or bought at the store, use a BBQ sauce to pair up with your pork tenderloin.
